Do you enjoy working with various business partners to build a better future state? If so the The Senior Manager, Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) might be for you.

The Senior Manager, Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for managing a team to achieve streamlined Procurement processes, governance, audit remediation's, team SLA measurements and reporting internally and externally. The COE will manage Procurements strategy and execution programs, while managing the governance of supplier performance management and Supplier Diversity.

The Procurement COE will have two resources to run Supplier Management and Supplier Diversity while the COE lead will assist in developing the remaining governance, program management and remediation needed in TPRM and Procurement for Sourcing, P2P and technology.

Procurement COE provides core expertise in various process domains, such as Procurement strategy and governance, performance management, savings validation, supplier management, business relationship management principles, Supplier Diversity and supports Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) with responsibility for strategic reviews, on-going monitoring and act as an escalation point for systematic supplier issues.

Your Work:

  • Develop performance metrics, surveys, and scorecards that align with organizational priorities and manage supplier performance against ongoing trends to maximize supplier partnerships (supplier management, supplier diversity and overall Procurement)

  • Manage contractual standards and serve as a single point of contact to Procurement on CSAA standards

  • Closely coordinate with Procurement team, including Procurement lead, Strategic Sourcing/Category Managers, Operational Procurement Specialists for Contract Requirements, and work within the enterprise organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract performance

  • Lead supplier management strategic activities particularly focused on contract performance measures, quality activities, and risk management.

  • Proactively oversee suppliers and business owners’ timely submission of metrics of contractual terms and conditions, routine attestations and reports, critical deliverables, and monitor prompt resolution of issues to minimize impact of service disruptions.

  • Provide monthly reporting on internal business owners and external supplier performance as well as preparing any reporting for internal/external audits, training and communications.

  • Report status of current contract performance, assist in defining improved metrics around SLAs and generate & lead continuous improvement opportunities

  • Proactively identify and mitigate supplier risk

  • Drive the creation of strategic initiatives and plans to define and strengthen supplier performance and risk management

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Procurement, and others for the socialization and resolution of key supplier risk or performance issues

  • Conduct regular supplier assessments to measure and monitor risk profiles

  • Work with business partners / treasury to conduct periodic financial risk assessment

  • Identify and develop procurement policies and procedures (playbook) to capture and sustain value

  • Continue to enhance procurement playbook through best practices

  • Establish procurement efficiency metrics and performance improvement opportunities including systems and tools

  • Develop a comprehensive set of procurement operational reports to optimize decision making regarding supplier performance, spend management, savings, and contract compliance

  • Develop and manage a training program that supports internal and external stakeholders on procurement processes

  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with executives, supplier, Procurement, and business stakeholders

  • Partner closely with Procurement team and business partners to integrate program outputs into category plans and strategies for future negotiations and supplier selection

  • Deliver and manage the supplier process collaborating with suppliers, internal and external stakeholders to monitor, analyze and report on trends, develop action plans for improvement, conduct market analysis and track ongoing progress

  • Support collaborative supplier relationships with accurate and insightful analysis that promotes effective communication, and enhances supplier discussions during governance meetings

  • Hires, motivates, and retains excellent personnel. Directs and assures the success of the goals and various levels.

What would make us excited about you?

  • BS/BA degree in relevant area such as Business Administration, Supply Chain or Finance required.

  • 10-15 years of relevant procurement experience demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity

  • 7 years of experience with category management strategies, specific supplier management experience, strategic sourcing process, with a proven track record of delivering business impact

  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, problem solving, organization, and project/program management skills

  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, proactive and innovative

  • Experience working effectively in a complex organization

  • Ability to lead and influence change in the face of complexity and ambiguity

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills

  • Thrives in a fast paced, goal oriented, dynamic organization with time sensitive deadlines

  • Leverage market data, external expert resources, spend analytics, and cost modeling to drive fact based decision making

  • Strong project management skills, including stakeholder timelines and meeting management skills

  • Expert understanding of contract terms and techniques for driving additional value and managing risks

  • Develop and manage relationships across the business to achieve key business, organizational and cross-cultural objectives.

  • Knowledge of Supplier Management tools (SRM, conducting Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.)

  • Technology-savvy and high competency in Procurement tools, MS office; Advanced Excel skills and other analytics software as well as eSourcing, reverse auctions, etc.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including meeting facilitation and presentations

  • Ability to interact effectively and gain credibility with internal associates at all levels as well as external third parties

  • Provides core expertise and is the creator in process domains of Procurement strategy and governance, performance management, savings validation, business relationship management principles and supports Third Party Risk Management.

  • Leads the team to produce SLAs focused on supplier management strategic activities particularly focused on contract performance measures, quality activities, and risk management.

  • Able to manage a team with competing priorities to deliver towards Procurement goals

  • Able to act as the right hand to the Procurement leader to deliver strategy and execution

  • Able to understand the procurement end to end process to assist all other procurement departments with integrating policy, procedures, and measurements

  • Able to lead and influence across the organization

  • Responsible for managing the strategic relationships of suppliers with a primary goal of driving successful outcomes from the supply base and mitigating future potential risk, while supporting analysis and reporting of performance to the appropriate stakeholders.

The national average salary range for this position is $ 147,510-$163,900. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $132,750-$196,600. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 18% of eligible pay.
