Spanish/ English Production supervisor – food – 2:00pm-11:00pm

An international food company is seeking a production supervisor who has 4-5 years of production experience and 1 year of supervisor experience.

2:00pm-11:00pm + 1-2hours of overtime and occasional Saturdays

This food manufacture has been around for more than 80 years, and their products are sold at most major grocery stores. They are growing!

Location: near Cypress, CA

Salary: $21/hr + overtime + bonus (total about $55K-63K/yr)

Business Hour: Monday to Friday 2:00am-11:00pm + 1-2 hours of overtime + sometime Saturday

Summary:

Manufacturing supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of production processes in all types of manufacturing operations. They make sure that the production line is running smoothly, and that staff are meeting their production targets.

• Manage and develop production employees to achieve established goals of safety,

environmental performance, production volume, quality, service, and cost.

• Ensure production employees are properly oriented and trained
• Review, analyze and make recommendations regarding safety, environmental performance,

quality, expenses, and productivity,

• planning and organizing staff shift schedules and tasks
• reporting plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians
• motivating your team
• producing management reports on performance
• monitoring quality control
• organizing production control records
• identifying and organizing training needs
• Conducting Internal self-audits (monthly)
• Conducting monthly training seminars (GMPs, SSOPs, SOPs.)
• Production record keeping (conventional and Organic)
• Supporting Federal and State audits

Requirement:

• 4-5 years of production experience is a must (any industry)
• 1 year of supervisor exp is a must
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
• High school or equivalent
• Leadership skills to motivate staff and manage a team
• The ability to meet targets and deadlines
• Effective team builder with demonstrated abilities
• Good time management skills
• An approachable manner and good communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective decision-making skills
• The ability to write reports and compile accurate records
• A willingness to work flexibly
• An awareness of health and safety issues
• Basic computer skill
• Knowledge of HACCP, SQF systems is a big plus but will train
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate all levels of personnel
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
