Job description

The Accessibility and Disability Resource Center is seeking two professionals to assist our Digital Accessibility Specialists on remediating textbooks to assure that they are accessible for students with disabilities. Specific training will be provided, however, comfort with and knowledge of computer technologies is important. Specific skills/qualifications are as follows:

Required

• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and PowerPoint
• Some previous experience using Adobe Acrobat
• Comfortable using technology
• Ability to learn unfamiliar computer technology and applications
• Self-starter
• Able to research issues/problems and develop strategies based on the research
• Comfortable assisting people with document/computer issues and explaining application techniques
• Detail oriented
• Ability to follow defined processes
• Ability to maintain detailed record keeping
• Comfortable asking questions
• Ability to provide details when reporting problems or asking questions, especially those associated with technology

Preferred:

• General familiarity with at least one type of tablet, such as iPad, Samsung, etc.
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
• Capable troubleshooter for document and technology issues
• Ability to work in both Apple OS and Windows OS environment

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
