What you’ll do:
Account Executives at Level III are responsible for leveraging a complete set of key account management skills in Large or Top Tier accounts. This includes developing and leveraging deep professional relationships and having deep insight into district learning objectives, budgetary challenges, political dynamics, and other factors related to aligning HMH solutions with district requirements. Level III Account Executives serve as senior members of the sales team and take on additional responsibilities such as mentoring and coaching AEs, managing state department of education initiatives or acting as an interim Area Sales Director when needed. See additional list of potential AE III leadership responsibilities below. Will require up to 80 percent travel/in-person sales calls.
Working in Field Sales the AE III will be responsible for the following primary duties:
Achieve revenue quotas across all LOBs
Manage HMH approach to State Department of Education activity in local state or region. Attend state board meetings or collaborate with HMH government affairs team to monitor state board activity. Schedule/engage in meetings with relevant state department leaders that influence policy related to instruction, curriculum and professional learning.
Serve as primary point person for state campaign or local/regional initiatives. Collaborate with internal partners across all lines of business to assist in the development local campaigns and communicate the outcomes and action steps to the local sales team.
Mentor less experienced account executives or new account executives.
Mentor Inside Sales account executives who are assuming responsibilities for larger accounts and transitioning from inside sales to mid-tier roles.
Lead team plans for covering state or local conferences and events.
Serve as a member of a CAS Advisory Board or other HMH internal advisory board
Serve as an interim Area Sales Director on short term or ad hoc basis. Run weekly pipeline or forecast call in the absence of the Area Sales Director.

What you’ll need:
Minimum year(s) of experience: 5-10 in Sales, Technology and/or Education
Degree required BA/BS
Technical (software, platform, and methodologies)
Experience leading projects, hitting revenue goals, implementing new initiatives and leading
Understanding of: SFDC, Internal Systems
