The salary range for this position is (insert salary range) based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Brands has a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote each week.
Summary
The Accounting and Administration Specialist is responsible for accurately maintaining and processing of accounts payable transactions, performing month and year-end activities and reconciling our record to vendors’ statements in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for supporting the general ledger team such as uploading journal entries to the general ledger and conducting various administrative tasks for office management and maintenance. This position reports to Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Process AP invoices and payments accurately
- Secure proper payment approvals to process invoices.
- Prepare approved invoices for payment
- Prepares accounts payable aging report for weekly payment disbursements and reviews payment run proposal with approval from AP Manager/Supervisor.
- Oversees maintenance of accounts payable files and records.
- Prepare 1099s at year end.
- Responds to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and payment requests; resolves invoice discrepancies.
- Prepares invoice analysis on selected vendors prior to processing payments.
- Verify assigned vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions in a timely manner.
- Provides invoice schedule for month-end AP accrual.
- Conduct various aspects of office maintenance.
- Conduct administrative tasks for the office (ordering supplies, orchestrating the office events etc.)
- Support the general ledger team as requested.
- Perform Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years AP related experience and office management experience.
- Entry level accounting related experience a plus.
- Proficiency with large ERP system preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within fast paced environment.
