Crossroads Trading Co., one of the largest brick & mortar buy-sell-trade clothing retailers in the nation, is seeking an Accounting Clerk at our Berkeley, CA headquarters. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for performing various accounting functions as well as providing general support to the Accounting team. POSITION DESCRIPTION Bay-Area based, privately held, retail company, with stores nationwide, has an immediate need for an Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. Must have basic knowledge and understanding of general accounting principles. We are looking for a detailed-oriented team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and correct errors and accounting discrepancies. The Accounting Clerk contributes to the efficient and deadline driven Period Closing process, including: the audit of transactional store media, generation and analysis of Celerant point of sale data, preparation and posting of general ledger journal entries to SAGE. The person in this position performs a variety of Administrative and Accounting duties. We are looking for those who want to grow with us. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Audit multiple stores’ transactional media for accuracy and completeness· Contact store management to follow up on register and banking matters· Process store write-offs· Prepare check lists for use during bank reconciliation· Perform some closing activities· Process property tax forms and keep schedule updated· Process Gift Cards and SVC Cards· Perform all administrative duties for the Accounting Department· Assist with miscellaneous overflow work POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1-2 years of accounting experience

Audit experience a plus

Multi-store retail experience a plus

Sage experience a plus

Excellent written and organizational skills

Ability to work in high-volume environment

Ability to perform routine tasks and balance priorities

Ability to problem solve

Excellent communication and listening skills

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, formula proficiency, a plus

Must pass the organization’s background and credit check
