Job description
Under moderate supervision, performs various clerical payroll and timekeeping accounting tasks such as entering and verifying data accuracy, processing bi-weekly payrolls, and maintaining the system database.
- Assists with departmental support functions.
- Assure compliance with company policy and procedures, generally accepted Accounting Principles, as well as federal, state and local statutes.
- Files and maintains accounting records.
- Participates in and/or contributes to community wellness projects and initiatives.
- Property/Tenant duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, supervisors, and outside agencies.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritizes work.
- Ability to maintain in strict confidence confidential information.
- Ability to work well with the public and cooperate with other staff members.
- Ability to effectively use a 10 key calculator.
- Knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years experience in an accounting department.
- One year experience processing payroll.
