Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate daily processing of accounts payables and back up for accounts receivables/Staff Accountant and other related duties.
Key Job Duties:
- Maintain accounting inbox and vendors.
- Entering AP invoices with 3-way match (PO – Receipt – Invoice) in Fishbowl.
- Clearly articulate the path to resolve invoice issues on daily 8 am call.
- Monitor receiving product and discrepancies of all PO invoices. (Item Receipt Report)
- Obtain approval & coding for non-PO invoices and enter them.
- Research vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Pay Freight bills online. (FEDEX & UPS)
- Review AP aging, ensure all vendors are paid on time and assist with check run.
- Reconciling and entering AMEX statements.
- Expense reports review and validate proper coding has been entered into QuickBooks correctly.
- Assist with Month end and other duties.
- A/R Backup cash applications, reconcile bank statement, and processing credit cards.
- Sort and deliver mail.
- Vendor file maintenance (W-9 and Certificate of Liability Insurance)
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- · Associates degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
- · Proficient in Microsoft Office and general internet applications
- · Basic to intermediate Excel skills
- · Experience in QuickBooks
- · Fishbowl Inventory software experience a plus but not necessary.
Essential job functions:
- Work closely with internal and external contacts.
- Work 40 hours per week or more if overtime is needed.
- Must possess great organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Must be proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Office hours are Monday - Friday 7:30AM to 4:00PM or 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The hourly pay rate for this role is $25.00 to $30.00.
