Trudell Holdings, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist 1. This position will be 20 hours per week and will provide support to all Trudell companies by insuring the accurate and timely operation of accounts receivable and credit related matters within the guidelines of company policy and objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure processing and completion of daily checks/cash deposits and posting to customer accounts within 24 hours of receipt.

• Review of customer accounts as needed for accurate account status.

• Ensure monthly accounts receivable statements are printed, audited, and forwarded to the mail by 2nd working day of months.

• Maintain accurate filing system for receivables and detail to achieve up to date performance objectives and customer file accessibility.

• Process properly completed customer applications to include investigation and account set up within 24 hours of receipt.

• Issue and mail account status letter to customer within 48 hours of determination.

• Maintain customer master file in accordance with company policy

• Maintain accurate customer credit status through credit holds and system updates as required.

• Manage delinquent accounts with timely follow-up letters/calls.

• With Controller’s approval, contact outside collection company to assist with collection of delinquent accounts.

• Handle complaints/disputes in a professional efficient manner communicating to management and controller any unresolved customer issues.

• Distribute monthly reports of problem receivables.

• Post credit card and credit services expense to appropriate departments

• Post manual invoices to accounts receivable system

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience in credit and collections or equivalent combination of education and experience

• High school degree or equivalency

• Accurate alphanumeric and 10-key data entry skills

• Proficient at a basic level in Microsoft Office applications, prior experience with accounting software preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to meet performance expectations with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to build successful business and interpersonal relationships.
