RIVA Solutions is seeking Adjudicators for our team to support a multiyear contract with the National Science Foundation in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing detailed adjudication grids and drafting accurate Letters of interrogatory, Letters of Advisement, and Unfavorable Determination letters.
• Communicate with the Personnel Security Officer regarding adverse cases.
• Perform duties assigned by the Personnel Security Officer.
• Evaluate the sensitivity determination of positions and make investigative determinations.
• Responsible for reviewing background investigation forms, fingerprint results, and completed investigations to make suitability, security, and fitness eligibility determinations.
• Must be well versed in the standard adjudicative procedures put forth from OPM along with expert knowledge of 5 CFR 731, the National Security adjudicative standards, and the requirements under EO 12968.
• Must be well versed in EO’s 13488, 13467, and 13764 and HSPD-12.
• Mail blank fingerprint cards to subjects off site as needed.
• Maintain personnel security databases, logs, and systems that provide detail related to fingerprint results, investigation information, and other background investigation information. Systems include Central Verification System (CVS), SharePoint, and e-QIP.
• Prepare and maintain personnel security files.
• Review employee/new hire documents and prepare for Entrance on Duty (EOD)
• Review onboarding documents submitted from Contracting Officers’ Representatives (CORs), contractors, and Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) staff, and employees for accuracy and adherence to requirements.
• Collecting and entering data, and review of adjudication documents, ensuring completeness of documents received
• Manage onboarding files to include, but not limited to, setting up new folders, scanning in new employee documents, and merging documents into e-QIP.
• Respond to routine questions from customers, to include those sent to security email alias, regarding the status of cases and outstanding information. Answers are to be consistent with established procedures, protocols, and policy.
• Obtain clarifying information for adjudicative assessments.
• Review systems and documents to provide information for adjudicators to assist in their investigation determinations and adjudicative decisions.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Three to five years’ experience performing suitability/fitness and national security.
• Adjudications.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Protect operations by keeping financial and other sensitive related information confidential.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Use of SharePoint and shared drives.
• Previous knowledge of systems such as e-QIP and CVS.
• Ability to train new or temporary contractor personnel on systems and processes.
