Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant

  • Assist with fundraising activities
  • Gather and process data using complex database programs
  • Handle correspondence
  • Assist with planning and communications for events and meetings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

Qualifications of the Administrative Assistant

  • Associate’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 years of office experience with a high degree of autonomy, preferably in an academic setting
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines amidst pressures and changing schedules
  • Effective writing and proofreading skills
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office, database management software
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well both collaboratively and independently and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound judgment and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
