CLASSIFICATION VACANCY: Administrative Assistant-Data Analytics and Operations Support Specialist
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 212 days
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday/8 hours per day
JOB OBJECTIVE: Performs duties that support the effective collection, analysis, and maintenance of district data, processes, and operations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science Related Field or High school diploma with an acceptable score on a pre-employment test
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment;
- Embodies high ethical standards and integrity. Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct;
- Ability to keep current with work skills essential to the objectives of the position;
- Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public. Congenial telephone etiquette;
- Consistently dependable and flexible. Accepts new responsibilities/assignments willingly;
- Proficient in office protocols, data entry, spelling, proofreading, and the correct use of grammar;
- Record maintenance skills. Ability to accurately analyze, compile and record data sets essential to the operation of the district;
- Energetic self-starter.
- Pays careful attention to details, and effective customer service
Essential Functions:
The following are typical work responsibilities. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions.
- Manage Integrated Software (SIS) for staff and information data, provide software support for the packages, and reports required for District Focus decisions (e.g. eSchoolPlus, TalentEd, eFinancePlus, PaySchools, Final Forms;
- Assists administrators and school leadership teams with applying relevant data to school improvement plans;
- Assists building staff with the management and maintenance of student accounts and financial records (e.g., school fees, activity payments, field trip contributions, etc.);
- Assists EMIS Coordinator with district-wide Educational Management Information System (EMIS) activities (e.g., securing data from department heads, reviewing data for accuracy, analyzing data for implications, transfer of data between district and state);
- Uses available district databases to prepare and process analytical information;
- Helps research and develop special reports;
- Helps interpret emerging trends based on available data sets;
- Verifies the accuracy of database information as directed;
- Collects, organizes, and enters electronic data. Maintains all required records. Corrects errors and helps resolve discrepancies in database information;
- Keeps up-to-date with changes in how data is collected, recorded, and/or reported. Attends training programs to stay current with software modifications;
- Assists with committee assignments and/or special projects as directed;
- Supports workplace initiatives that enhance personal productivity and advance district goals;
- Coordinates with district vendors and support organizations to implement district support resources;
- Cross-trains with other office staff and assists with unexpected/urgent situations as needed;
- Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend meetings and in-services as required
- Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate manner
- Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings
- May require hours outside of the regular workday
- The Superintendent/Designee may assign such other duties directly related to the essential functions of the position.
