Job description
The Administrative Coordinator supports the Executive Director of the Hickey Center and the Executive
Director of the Konar Center in effecting and advancing the mission, goals, and programs of the Centers. The scope of the position falls into three broad categories:
**PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
- Assist with planning each year’s programming; work in communication with the College’s internal and external communities and the Advisory Boards of the Centers. Provide day-to-day support for the planning of events and activities for both Centers.
- Oversee the design of a variety of printed materials and the maintenance of both Centers’ websites and social media in collaboration with MarComm. Update printed and on-line materials as needed.
- Support both Executive Directors at College and public events.
- Guided by the strategic plan for each Center and the larger goals of the College and the President, assist with fostering increased engagement between the Hickey and Konar Centers within the College community of students, faculty and staff, other academic institutions and the community at large.
- Oversee the work of Graduate Assistants and student workers employed by the Centers who support programs and events.
**FUNDRAISING AND DEVELOPMENT**
In collaboration with the Office of Research, Scholarship, and Innovation; the Director of Corporate, Foundations, and Government Relations; and under the guidance of both Executive Directors:
- Explore and solicit funding opportunities, including grants, for programs and other needed functions of the Centers.
- Assist in stewarding existing donors and in expanding the Centers’ donor bases. Prepare annual reports as needed.
- Continue to grow and foster the national reputation of the Centers through marketing, public relations, and intersection with other educational and leadership opportunities in the areas of interfaith studies and dialogue, tolerance, and Jewish Studies.
**ASSESSMENT AND CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT**
- Collaborate with the College’s assessment committee to establish measurable learning outcomes for new and annual programs; develop and maintain metrics to assess their efficacy.
- Determine and gather data and build a base of materials available to support foundation and grant applications.
- Use assessment information to improve programming.
- Work with the Executive Directors to establish benchmarks for implementing the Centers’ strategic plans.

Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher (Degree in Religious, Interfaith, or related area of study preferred)
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated knowledge/experience in interfaith, interracial, community building and/or religious studies work.
- Availability to work some evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to positively and respectfully interact with individuals from all religious traditions and backgrounds, both on and off campus.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
- Ability to successfully manage interpersonal working relationships. As appropriate, collaborate with staff in other units and divisions to achieve the goals of the College.
- Strong written, verbal, and social media communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and appropriately.
