Job Description
The Department of Finance and Budget seeks a well-organized, energetic, proactive candidate to serve as an Administrative Manager overseeing the administrative operations and processes of the department's Budget Divisions; provide customer service and front counter backup to other divisions; purchasing, human resources, payroll, and budget support; and functions as the staff liaison to the County's Board of Equalization. This position also functions as the department's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) coordinator.
Sample work activities include:
- Functions as staff liaison and administrative support to the Board of Equalization, including compliance with all FOIA-mandated meeting notices, meeting logistics, and record keeping
- Provides administrative support to Deputy Director
- Manages recruitment activities including coordinating job interviews, background checks, and other related human resources functions for the Budget Divisions
- Process credit card payments and monthly reporting
- With support from Division leadership, manages and submits staff reports and related products to County Administration
- Develops data and reports
- Ensures administrative support to division processes and projects
Successful candidate will be fully knowledgeable about standard administrative programs, policies, procedures, and office management practices. Candidate will possess an ability to recognize and proactively respond to needs resulting from Divisions' workload, deadlines, and staffing levels. Candidate will have capacity to understand requirements of FOIA. Candidate will be able to establish and maintain productive working relationships with department staff and staff throughout the County Government. Must be able to work independently and have demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines. Solid organizational and time management skills are required.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Job Requirements
Associate degree; three (3) years of related administrative work experience in a business or government setting including one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
Attendance at night meetings is required to support the Board of Equalization meetings.
