Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking an Administrative Practice Assistant to support the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Reporting to the Administrative Support Supervisor, the Administrative Practice Assistant will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support to our firm’s practice groups in an environment where superior client service is emphasized and practiced.
This position will reside in the Boston office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide administrative support to Intellectual Property Partners, Associates.
  • Prepare routine patent correspondence, reports and responses for filing; not limited to reporting communications to clients.
  • Prepare Information Disclosure Statements.
  • Maintain patent prosecution files
  • Provide backup support to other team members in the IP Group.
  • Perform other relevant duties in the practice area as directed.
  • Assist with time entry, schedule and manage travel arrangements and expense forms.
  • Assist with opening of new matters; prepare conflict checks, engagement letters and new business intake.
  • Process expense reports, vouchers, check requests, scanning, copying and word processing.
  • Arrange travel and prepare travel itineraries.
Experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Minimum high school diploma required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Suggested minimum of three years of administrative experience, preferably at a law firm or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Word skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and produce a high-quality work product to meet deadlines and perform job responsibilities under pressure efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work overtime is required.
