Requirements:The position pays an hourly rate of $16.00 an hour.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Adult Job Coach of Special Projects will support individuals with disabilities working in on-the-job training assignments or employment and assist them with learning their job duties as well as maintaining employment. The Adult Job Coach of Special Projects will learn job specific tasks within a business for the purpose of training and coaching clients to be successful in that job for the possibility of long-term employment as well as performing general Adult Job Coaching duties.
The Adult Job Coach of Special Projects position is appropriate for employers who request Job Coaches on site during training. The Job Coach will receive training in various store positions from the employer who will then provide individuals in a three-week internship with training in all positions. At the end of the internship, employment may be offered.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Develops a relationship and promotes services within a specific business to promote established training program and ensures content consistency.
- Provides insight into the candidate selection process; ensures the job matches the client’s interests, abilities and is within a reasonable distance to their home.
- Trains and coaches’ clients daily for a specific period of time to improve soft skills, vocational skills, and job specific skills; provides feedback and guidance to ensure employment is successful.
- Creates accommodations for clients to ensure employment success to include task lists, putting reminders on phone, modifying tasks based on client’s learning style, and others as needed.
- Works with supervisors at the job location to ensure that any client issues are addressed as quickly as possible.
- Ensures good communication with clients, families and Vocational Rehabilitation both in person or through verbal and written communications.
- Performs general Adult Job Coaching duties as needed.
- Job Coach will complete P&A’s and final reports.
- Records specifics of client employment for billing purposes.
- Maintains regular contact with clients via phone, text or email for continued coaching and support; may offer client support after long term placement with the business.
- Maintains communication with assigned Employment Specialist.
- Writes detailed case notes for clients outlining all phone, text or in person interactions.
- Attends Vocational Rehabilitation staffing meetings at their local VR office.
- Completes monthly progress notes for clients by specific day of each month.
- Drives clients to various locations as needed.
- Other related tasks as directed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education/Experience:
- Education: High School diploma required; some college including a degree in any field preferred
- Experience: No experience necessary; experience working with individuals with a disability and/or prior counseling, job placement, job coaching or working within public vocational rehabilitation programs is preferred
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Adobe and web-based database
systems; CRM experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Open availability required.
- Ability to pass a level 2 background check
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto registration, auto insurance coverage-minimum ($50,000 property/$100,000 personal injury liability)
- Bilingual is a plus (English / Spanish); ASL is a plus.
- Confidentiality and the ability to handle multiple deadlines is required
- Must have own computer, printer, smartphone with data plan, and high-speed internet connection.
Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Local travel required.
