Agency Business Consultant
Job Description:
The Agency Business Consultant is a dedicated business coach who can help Farmers® agency owners drive growth in their business. Working for the District Manager, this position typically conducts regular agency consultation visits where the ABC assists agents in establishing business goals and developing strategies to execute on those goals. By providing ongoing coaching and support, Agency Business Consultants can help agents drive productivity and build bigger, faster and stronger Farmers agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, coaches and supports the progress of full-time agencies; analyzes current state and provides recommendations for increased productivity and profitability.
- Assists individuals coming through new agent entry points, including assistance during the agent’s deployment of new office locations with agency setup, business planning, and recommendations regarding effective marketing systems and training.
- Conducts Career agent performance reviews and helps agents build their strategies to achieve their goals.
- May conduct initial interviews during the district managers recruiting process, especially for highly capitalized agents.
- Engage in and enhance District Recruiting systems to achieve Corporate goals
- Provides additional information to agents about the policies, practices and procedures of the Companies.
Requirements:
- Product Knowledge Familiar with Farmers Insurance products within Personal Lines, Life and Commercial/Worker's Comp
- Licensing: Licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health or plans to be licensed
- Business Acumen Previous business ownership experience or strong business acumen. Possesses a history in sales management or insurance/financial services.
- Coaching Ability Can quickly build strong relationships with all personality styles, as well as the ability to inspire. • Problem Solver Uses problem solving abilities to help agency owners establish their goals and develop strategies to execute on those goals.
- Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time Management Prioritizes activities to help agency owners drive return for their agency and district growth.
- Drive and Productivity Ability to achieve great results from ordinary circumstances; prepares for problems or opportunities in advance; undertakes additional responsibilities and responds to situations as they arise without supervision.
