The Application Support Specialists are responsible for maintaining application systems that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Incumbents who participate in the development of the system remain after completion to help maintain/update the system.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical software, hardware, and operational support and informal training to customers for business applications
• Provides call center support for both IT and business related incidents
• Troubleshoots and restores service for routine incidents
• Analyzes, identifies, and diagnoses faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures
• Provides input to the development of checklists for typical problems and provide trend information to knowledge management for root cause analysis and review
• Recommends procedures and controls for problem prevention
• Supports knowledge database and call tracking database to enhance quality of problem resolutions
• Maintains and adheres to defined service levels

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required
• 1 - 3 years of experience preferred
• Primary focus is on daily deliverable of routine and defined outputs, while at the same time developing knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed
