Job description
Assistant Montessori Preschool Teacher (Ages 2.5-4).
Schedule:
Schedule:
- Part Time Hours: 8:30 am-3:30 pm Monday- Friday.
- School holidays and breaks observed: 2 weeks winter, 1 week spring, 2 weeks summer etc.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Work as an assistant with a team in a Montessori classroom. (25 students).
- Supervise playground and lunchtime.
- Take turns conducting morning line time, music and games, reading stories, etc.
- Lesson plan and work with an assigned group of children (5-8 students) in the classroom and practical life.
- Help with potty training/changing pull-ups may be needed.
- Some cleaning duties required.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English.
- 45-hour classes from DCF. (can complete while working).
- Fingerprinting/Background Screening required upon hire.
- High school degree.
