All About You
The Department of Health Management and Policy (HMP), in the College for Public Health and Social Justice (CPHSJ) at Saint Louis University, is seeking qualified applicants for one 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall of 2023.
Successful candidates will demonstrate research success appropriate for an early career scholar with a clear vision of how their research will develop in the coming years. Areas of expertise that are of particular interest include: strategic management, health technology, health analytics, health care quality, finance, marketing, and value-based care. Applicants must also demonstrate experience in the classroom and an interest in mentoring students. Primary responsibilities include conducting and publishing research, obtaining external funding, teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, and professional service.
The HMP Department offers a highly ranked, long-established, CAHME-accredited Master of Health Administration, a concentration of a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Management. The HMP Department is a collaborative environment where successful faculty find value in building relationships with faculty, staff, and students across all programs. The mission of SLU is such that applicants should be able to articulate how their research and teaching help advance the health and wellbeing of communities that are in particular need.
Applicants for this position must hold an earned doctorate in Health Services Research, Management, Organizational Studies, or a related field with a research focus on health services or health policy, such as Public Policy, Political Science, Sociology, or Economics. Salary is competitive with top-ranked institutions and is dependent on qualifications, experience, and current research funding.
