Creighton University School of Dentistry is looking for a Assistant Professor of General Dentistry. We are seeking a motivated individual to support the didactic and clinical curricula of the school including patient services through the School’s pre-doctoral clinic model.
The 12-month position will work with a team of dedicated faculty who are building on a rich legacy of excellence in dental education and expanding our capacity as a national resource in the dental profession. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of the curriculum notably in the preclinical courses and labs in addition to the clinic.
Primary appointment will be in the Department of General Dentistry. Qualified candidates must have:
A DDS or DMD degree or, an equivalent degree from an international program along with completion of an ADA accredited clinical specialty program and successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination, prior to the date of hire.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or certificate in Operative Dentistry or Dental Materials; or certificate from an advanced General Dentistry program; or a multi-year general dentistry commitment as part of military service for the purpose of joining existing faculty in dental materials research and advanced restorative techniques, which may include digital dentistry applications.
Candidates must also possess strong organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment.
Candidates must possess an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License and acquire credentialing from applicable third-party payer systems.
