Position Summary
Supports the Web Coordinator and fulfillment of online orders. Assumes the online order process in absence of the Web Coordinator. Responds to customer inquiries and phone calls. Ensure textbooks and products are fully stocked and retail floor is clean. Provides customer support on a daily basis and operates a register. Supports textbook adoption, orders required course materials, completes receiving and returns, stocks merchandise, and College Credit Plus. Assists with Inclusive Access and other affordability initiatives. Provides exceptional customer service to assist students, employees, and guests of the college.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Web Fulfillment Support
Supports the Web Coordinator and fulfillment of online orders. Completes orders and daily accounting information to record web sales. Assumes the online order process in absence of the Web Coordinator.
Inventory Support
Ensures textbooks and products are fully stocked and retail floor is clean. Supports textbook adoption, orders required course materials, completes receiving and returns. Ensures shelves are labeled accurately each semester. Supports textbook returns each semester. Verifies return eligibility, packages returns, and ships as necessary. Supports textbook adoption, orders required course materials, and completes receiving. Participates in store inventory and cycle counts. Supports College Credit Plus processes including account and voucher creation, purchasing course materials and required supplies, distribution of course materials to partner schools, processes buyback requests, and assists students.
Customer Service
Responds to customer inquiries and phone calls. Provides customer support on a daily basis and operates a register. Assists with Inclusive Access and other affordability initiatives. Maintains working knowledge of Bookstore practices. Uses knowledge base to make responsible judgement calls on the sales floor on a situational basis. Provides cross-functional support with a variety of Bookstore projects or in other areas, as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Standard retail and merchandising practices and procedures, computer and POS systems, basic mathematics, and book adoption and buying processes. Ability to: Oversee functional area of responsibility, prioritize multiple projects and work tasks, accurately review and analyze data, work independently or as part of a team, , prioritize work projects to meet deadlines, and maintain effective working relationships with associates, students, and guests of the college while adhering to the Columbus State’s policies and procedures as well as Bookstore procedures. Skill in: Verbal and written communications, basic computer applications and office equipment, training, leadership, superior customer service, book adoption, and buying.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years’ experience in customer service or retail. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
