AV For You is a full service audiovisual rental company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota servicing the Midwest area.
We provide support for hundreds of events annually and we are a seven-time recipient of the Minnesota Meetings & Events award for Best Audio-Visual/Visual Presentation Provider. We love to setup our gear at and provide AV Technical Services at venues for live in-person and hybrid events.

The Technician’s duties are the most varied at AV For You. Techs are responsible for all aspects of the set up, running, and strike of an event. Techs also maintain the equipment, vehicles, and warehouse. Technicians work directly with the project managers to fulfill the client’s vision at events, they also work with the Director of Operations to maintain all equipment as well as a safe and orderly warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but are not Limited to:

• Performing all deliveries and pickups of all orders.
• Assembling and putting away orders in the warehouse.
• Operating equipment onsite at events.
• Maintaining a safe and clean warehouse.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Performing basic maintenance on delivery vehicles (balance tires, top off fluids, etc).
• Site visits with clients to determine event needs.
• Pre-con meetings with clients and project managers.
• Work with the Director of Operations to conduct bi-annual inventory check.
• Work with the Director of Operations and Warehouse Tech to process new equipment, label, and organize in CURRENT RMS

Qualifications:

• The ability to lift 55lbs or more is required
• A clean driving record and the ability to drive DOT authorized vehicles is required
• Proven work experience and/or education in the AV for live events industry is required
• Working knowledge of relevant AV equipment is recommended though not required
• Detail oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast paced work environment.
• Client relations skills.
• Independent problem solving and task completion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• This role requires the ability to drive our DOT (Department of Transportation) authorized vehicles as a representative of AV For You. This means you need to be able to pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Records) check. Have you had any major driving violations in the last 5 years?
• Are you able to comfortably lift 55lbs or more?
• We're looking for someone relatively seasoned in the A/V LIVE industry, but education and passion for the field will also suffice! AV FOR YOU primarily deals in small and large conferences with full stage, audio, video and lighting set ups from scratch and operation; so it is imperative that we have staff who are comfortable and familiar with any or all of those things.
