Trexis Insurance has an opening for an Outside Claims Adjuster who will be performing as an property damage estimator based in the Phoenix, AZ area. The candidate will need to reside in or live within a reasonable distance of Phoenix, AZ.

This position is a temp-to-hire position through the temporary agency of the company's choice and comes with competitive compensation as well as a company vehicle, laptop and necessary equipment. Consideration for transitioning to regular employment will be based on performance.

Essential Responsibilities

This candidate will:

• Receive assignments, initiate customer contact and create daily routes in order to serve our customers in a timely manner.
• Perform comprehensive inspections and generate damage appraisals and supplements on vehicles involved in losses using CCC, the current estimator software.
• Develop and maintain good time management practices.
• Upload appraisals and photos into our imaging systems and use the Trexis claims system to document notes, create diaries and send messages to Inside Adjusters.
• Follow the Trexis Best Practice guidelines including, but not limited to, replacement parts usage, timelines, total losses, refinish and body repairs.

Pending field work volume, the candidate may be expected to:

• Assist with settling / resolving claims outside the geographical purview.
• Conduct drive-by inspections of fixed property or residences; canvass neighbors; meet with witnesses; and/or obtain information locally that has been communicated to the Inside Adjuster.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• College Degree Required; or High School Diploma with at least 4 years of applicable experience in this field
• Minimum of 2 years personal lines automobile estimating.
• Strong negotiation skills are necessary but no prior supervisory experience is necessary.
• Must have valid Driver's License and be approved by our insurance carrier to operate a company vehicle
• Physical abilities including talking, listening, writing, seeing, bending, reaching and the general ability to maneuver around and under automobiles for inspections.
• Must be able to drive several hours at a time and work outdoors writing estimates.
• General office skills including faxing, copying and filing; Typing 30 wpm
• Good oral and written communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of people.
• Above average research skills, the ability to gather data and present ideas at a level commensurate with the intended audience.
• Ability to juggle several tasks and work well with little hands-on supervision.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required to complete tasks in remote territories or to travel to Home Office.
