Summary:
As an Automation Engineering at Our Client ETA, you will play a critical role in supporting Our Client Ohio Packaging's new automated warehouse. You will ensure that technologies and processes are running according to plan, have access to all tools, and collaborate with other work groups. As someone with a strong technical background, you will also help lead and shape the design of our solutions and have an important impact on our technology and engineering decisions. You will help us build a strong culture, facilitate technical implementation, and work with us to continuously improve the way we work. You will be reporting to the Sr Engineering Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the Design, Commissioning, Qualification and Operation of the warehouse Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)
- Support the design, implementation, validation and operation of all critical systems related to the automated warehouse
- Serve as a recognized engineering technology specialist in ASRS and AGVs with overall responsibility for establishing design and operational methodologies in this area.
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate warehouse systems.
- Demonstrated ability to design and create automation solutions.
- Designing and testing automation equipment and processes.
- Identifying quality / Process / Manufacturing / business issues and writing documentation.
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a wide range of tasks in related fields.
- Creation of equipment specifications based on material, compliance, and system operator requirements.
- Adhere to standards for the design of new system architectures and installation of equipment and control systems, including building automation systems, data systems, process control, DCS, and warehouse management systems that are harmonized with Our Client standards.
- Manage the site computer systems validation program and related data integrity aspects.
- Collaborate with users, peers, and management to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards.
What We Expect of You
- Technical education (Bachelor or Master), such as Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience in the design and installation of automation systems.
- Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment.
- Experience with project management.
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.
- Experience with implementing industrial automation technologies.
- Experience with ASRS & AGV is a plus.
- Experience with project management and managing relations.
- Direct experience with regulated environment (GMP, OSHA, EPA) is advantageous
- Occasionally willing to travel.
- Fluently English, both in oral and written communication.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Top Skill Sets:
- At least 3 years of experience in the design and installation of automation systems.
- Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting automation equipment.
- Experience with GMP Systems and CQV.
Day to Day Responsibilities:

- Work and ensure ASRS and AGV systems operation, Uptime and Business continuity.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
