Aviation Operations Coordinator Role and Responsibilities

The Aviation Operations role at pMD is to help our team reach our customers and our business goals through the safe coordination of pMD’s aviation department. This is an administrative and operational role that primarily focuses on coordinating fleet compliance, maintenance, repairs, and contract pilots.

Responsibilities include:

    • coordinate all aircraft maintenance, repairs, and insurance renewals cost-effectively and efficiently, including coordinating delivery and pick up of aircraft for annuals, staying on top of routine maintenance, etc.
    • ensure adherence and compliance with all pMD guidelines, FAA regulations, and federal, state, and local laws
    • create and maintain accurate operations documentation for reference and training purposes, including maintaining logs and records (aircraft and business), as required, and prepare written reports
    • keep executives informed of changes to regulations and information about the safety of flight and operation of aircraft
    • monitor the investigation of accidents, incidents, and occurrences and the development of any recommendations that may arise
    • maintain the cleanliness of the fleet inside and out
    • work with contract pilots and leadership team to plan and safely execute trips based on our team's needs throughout the US, including arranging all logistics and ground transportation (pre-flight and post-flight inspections; safely planning flights; load passengers, baggage, and cargo; analyzing weather conditions; etc.)
    • coordinate pMD’s Learn to Fly program and provide and coordinate flight instruction and training for other team members on an as-needed basis
    • participate in customer support, onboarding new providers, and work directly with practices to optimize our product and services to fit their needs
    • adaptability and ability to succeed working from any location (home, office, or onsite)
    • create and improve processes for the team
    • assist in daily business operations
    • travel and work onsite with customers

Requirements include:

    • bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics or a related field
    • 2 years of experience in a fleet management role
    • professional experience in a corporate setting
    • proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction
    • responsible for the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects and/or tasks
    • experience with enterprise software applications a plus
    • ability to work on-call for urgent customer support 8-10 times a year, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Starting annual salary of $69,579

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a precondition of employment.
