What Will You Be Doing?
If you love technical troubleshooting and solving problems, have a solid technical foundation, and, above all else, want to deliver a memorable experience for customers you serve, then you should join the EAW Microsoft Team as a Surface Ambassador.
You will be working as an Inbound Email Technical Support agent providing business/commercial Microsoft Surface users with exceptional support by troubleshooting issues relating to their Surface devices and peripherals.
What Are We Looking For?
- Students who want to provide technical support covering a wide range of topics and are able to quickly pick up and retain new concepts
- Students who are patient communicators and comfortable speaking with people over the phone
- Students with experience troubleshooting hardware issues, basic understanding of computer protocols, and hardware to software interactions
- Students who can manage multiple projects and maintain frequent and consistent interaction with all clients
- Students who possess a passion for and find gratitude in solving difficult challenges leading to ecstatic customers
- Students who are team players and prioritizes the group over themselves
- Students who are responsible and able to handle a professional job in a business environment–this includes punctuality/attendance expectations, receptive to consistent feedback and coaching, and adaptability with a positive attitude, etc.
- Students who are able to work at least 20 hours per week – with the opportunity to work more hours per week during the school year and up to 39 hours during school breaks
- Students who are able to work year round – including the school breaks including summer and winter break

What’s Not So Perky About Our Positions
- We have strict attendance and punctuality expectations – this is a professional job and we’ll hold you to that
- Microsoft holds our students to a high standard of customer service – meaning you’ll have high metrics that we’ll work with you to meet
- No one calls or chats into technical support when things are going great - occasionally you’ll need to assist a frustrated customer through directions on how to trouble shoot their concern and calls are generally 30-45 minutes long
- Since this is a phone/chat position, you may be sitting down for the majority of your shift, ranging from 2 to 8 hours
- Not only do we work around your class schedule, but we also work around all of our students class schedules – this means we don’t always have the ability to work around other obligations (club meetings, social events, second jobs, internships, etc.) and expect you to make this job a primary part of your life (second to school – of course)
- We’re a PCI Compliant Area – meaning that in your work space you won’t be able to have any paper, pens, electric devices like cell phones or smart watches – but you will have access to those personal items on breaks or lunches
