Our team is looking for a dynamic, relationship focused
B2B Sales Specialist for the Marine & Boating Industry
who lives in Floridato help us scale with our customer’s needs.

100% work remote / work from home position. This full-time position with health care, retirement, and other benefits can be performed remotely. Residency in Florida required.

The Team:

You would report directly to the Sales Manager and would be part of a quickly growing sales team. As a position that works 100% remotely this position requires someone who takes initiative, can prioritize, and gets things done. A bias towards action, go-get-it-done-ness, and move fast while nailing the details that matter is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration preferred. Or equivalent life experience and track record of sales success.
  • Comfortable with the administrative side of sales. Including providing sales quotes, email, calendars, etc.
  • Excitement about learning a new CRM software
  • Relationship master. You have a network of relationships in the marine and boating world, and/or specific strategies for building relationships, generating leads, and making sales.
  • Digitally fluent. You communicate effectively via phone, email, and text with customers. This is a remote position, so your ability to build relationships using digital tools is essential.
  • Integrity. You take pride in selling products you believe in – high quality, built for an exceptionally long lifespan, with an 11-year warranty.
  • Electrifying. You enjoy learning and are interested in electricity. Experience with electronics and/or electrical systems is a big plus. A bulk of your responsibilities will be helping customers upgrade their battery and electrical systems and answer questions about electrical systems (if you don’t have experience no worries, learning is a big part of this role).
  • Detail oriented. You can carry multiple tasks towards completion without letting anything (or anyone!) fall through the cracks while also making sure opportunities that occur daily are seized upon.

The work you will do:

50% Lead Generation (regional travel required)

  • Identify, research, and reach out to potential B2B clients.
  • Staff the Dakota Lithium booth at trade shows in the marine & boating market, including ICAST, IBEX, Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show, Miami Boat Show and follow up with customers you meet at the show.
  • Visit boat builders, shipyards, marinas, RV dealers, boat dealers, golf cart dealers and golf clubs in the Southeastern United States and introduce them to Dakota Lithium products.

50% Sales in the Marine & Boating Markets

  • Develop and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrate company products and solutions including in-person and virtual presentations.
  • Develop presentations for current and potential customers.
  • Record customer interactions in lead tracking and CRM customer issue tracking systems.
  • Generate and follow up with leads and potential customers.
  • Follow through with customers and ensure satisfaction, including solicit feedback on products and services. Share feedback with the engineering and production teams.
  • Proactively reach out to customers and ask if their needs are being met.
  • Develop a trusting relationship with customers.
  • Be the voice of customers, advocate for their needs and collaborate with product development to inform product roadmap.
  • Process orders in our online inventory system (Ordoro)

Salary: This is a full-time exempt, salaried position (40 hours per week).

  • Commission: 1% of total gross sales from accounts you manage (estimated range $10,000 - $60,000 a year).
  • Salary of $45,000 – $55,000 a year DOE.
  • Bonus: Eligible after 3 months of employment for a monthly sales team growth bonus (estimated range $3,000 - $6,000/yr).
  • Benefits:
  • Three weeks of paid time off (PTO) a year (equal to 120 hours). At 3 years PTO increases to a month off (160 hrs). At 5 years increases to five weeks off (200 hrs).
