Back of House (BOH) / Kitchen Team Leader

We are looking for dependable, people-oriented, and results-driven leaders. The BOH/Kitchen leader must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and organization.

Pay Type: Starting at up to $18/hr (potential for immediate promotion/pay increase pending leadership and Chick-fil-A capacity/experience)

Position Type:

• Full-Time (40+hrs) with potential for overtime
• Friday’s and Saturday’s required
• Holidays required (exception Thanksgiving and Christmas)

General Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the leadership team to train new team members, and track their performance to ensure they’re equipped for success.
• Ensure that shifts are running smoothly in kitchen, delegating tasks as needed
• Track employee performance and document policy/procedure violations, reporting information back to Directors as necessary.
• Correctly interprets the intentions of the weekly schedule and place team members in the positions most suited to their skills
• Conduct coaching sessions with team members to develop and grow the back of house team.
• Ensure all shift tasks are completed according to the daily schedule
• Serve as subject matter expert for all things back of house
• Responsible for inventory and facilities management
• Demonstrate a positive enriching attitude towards all guests and fellow team members.
• Read, understand and comply with all Chick-fil-A requirements and guidelines.
• Protect the customer experience by ensuring a clean, welcoming environment and providing the highest quality of food at all times of the day.
• Display professionalism in personal appearance, attitude, and behavior.
• Continuously strive for personal excellence by growing in the knowledge of Chick-fil-A procedures and products.
• Display good stewardship and a sense of ownership for the business.
• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards.
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report, document, and work to correct any maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Must be 18+
• Experience as a leader, preferably in a kitchen/production environment
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, and stand for up to 10 hours
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency
• Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
• Positive attitude, servant heart, and ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Willingness to step outside the job role to assist in other roles
• Must be an excellent coach, communicator, encourager, and team builder
• Treat team & guests with honor, dignity, and respect
• Have a coachable spirit & growth mindset
• Honors and encourages others to follow the visions and values of the restaurant.

• Leadership Experience of at least 3 months
