POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Banking Fraud, Card, Compliance Specialist to work with our Member Services Team on Silver Cloud locality conveniently off highway 68 in Monterey. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for daily operation requirements as related to Check Cards, Electronic Funds, Risk Control, Compliance and data reporting. Provide outstanding service to members and Credit Union staff. Technical support to staff on related systems.
Understand and comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Electronic Funds Transfers (Reg. E), Privacy, Expedited Funds Availability (Reg. CC), Fair Debt Collection, Truth in Savings (Reg. DD), OFAC, VISA U.S.A regulations, FACTAct IDTheft, fair collections, Elder Abuse, and Social Engineering.
In depth investigations.
Initiate and respond to inquiries to third party vendors/IS and follow-up to ensure timely resolution of issues/questions, etc. fraud cases.
Create and run reports in various systems
Assist with keeping relevant procedures up-to-date.
Other projects assigned.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Good reading, writing, math, accounting, and some college level business courses preferred. Working knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office programs
EXPERIENCE: At least two year previous financial institution experience including customer service required; writing and a good understanding of financial institution operations and regulations is preferred.
SKILLS & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Must have good oral and written communication skills. Analytical, problem solving and initiative are required. Must be flexible to changes and have an attention to detail, organized and have the ability to meet regulatory and service deadlines. This position requires considerable discretion, judgment, tack, diplomacy and confidentiality.
