We are looking for an experienced Banquet Manager with a background in food & beverage within a hotel banquet facility. We are an “Award Winning” DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in the southern suburbs that continues to strive to deliver our brand promise to provide the special comforts and acts of kindness that make the traveler feel human again.

We have over 15,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, and can hold up to three functions simultaneously for a total of 850 guests. The individual must be organized, efficient, have high energy, and be highly skilled in communicating tasks and ensuring follow through.

Job Requirements: Candidate should meet the following criteria:

Minimum 2 years in a management role; work experience preferably in Hospitality Segment

Extremely detail oriented

Excellent phone skills

Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively prioritize, and organizational skills are required

Ability to work productively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs

Main Responsibilities:

Oversees all banquet functions to ensure customer satisfaction.

Properly hire and train all staff with the knowledge that they need for cleanliness, conditional, brand, and service standards.

Manage and motivate set up staff, servers, and bartenders in banquets.

Daily supervision to include; interviewing, staffing, training, discipline, and scheduling.

The individual must be organized, efficient, have high energy, and be highly skilled in communicating tasks and ensuring follow through.

Make sure all banquet event orders are delivered as contracted by the client.

Visually monitoring performance, and be able to personally perform job duties, to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards, to provide exceptional internal and external guest satisfaction.

Monitor and control all events which includes; staffing appropriately for any event needing room sets, food services, or guest services.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
