Essential Job Functions
- Performs basic barn tasks including feeding, turnout, cleaning stalls, blanketing, watering, arena dragging, etc.
- Helps to maintain the equine center property by operating a tractor, moving heavy objects, and other landscaping, as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays (approximately 10 hours per week)
- The successful candidate must be committed to working and communicating effectively with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong horse handling skills
- Basic equine knowledge
Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of JWU's Equine Center located in Rehoboth, MA upon hire.
