Job Description:
The BIM/VDC Coordinator works closely with the BIM Manager and the client to implement BIM on the selected program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The BIM/VDC Coordinator is responsible for:
- Monitoring and reconciling the Design and Construction Team’s submittal data related to BIM
- Reviewing VDC/BIM scope of work for contractual compliance
- BIM Submittal tracking
o Review submittals to ensure compliance with client standards and BIM scope of services.
o BIM submittal coordination between college project teams and design/construction teams.
o BIM 360 Model reviews/work flowing/administration - Communication
o Attend virtual coordination meetings/kick offs
o Direct communication via phone and emails with college project teams weekly
o Reporting and tracking to PMO weekly
o Direct communication with CPT, Design and Construction teams. - BIM Closeout
o Provide support to CPT/PMO to ensure BIM projects meet client standards
o Review CAD/BIM As-Built drawings for compliance and completeness
o Review FM BIM data for compliance and completeness - BIM Standards
o Participate in the continuous development of the client BIM standards
o Collaborate with client District teams to ensure FM data needs are met for CMMS use
o Work with PMO and CPT teams to develop BIM scope of services based on project needs - SharePoint record drawings database Support for client
o Research data as requested by District and PMO - GIS
o Provide support as requested for the ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS online platforms
o Review GIS deliverables and BIM to ArcGIS online integration - Travel
o Visit colleges as requested. Interface with college project teams - LIDAR
o Provide scanning of current projects for QAQC review
o Manage database of LIDAR scans
o Link LIDAR scans to coordination and design models - Models
o Provide supplemental modeling as requested by the CPT and PMO
o Manage database of client BIM models - Schedules
o Review project schedules to identify milestones and provide feedback regarding BIM
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related degree (Can be substituted with 8 years of experience.)
- 4 or more years of experience BIM/VDC coordinator or relevant experience
- Experience utilizing BIM for 4D and project coordination/clash detection.
- Experience working with Design and Construction Teams.
- Experience working on projects from Design through Construction
- Working knowledge to perform modeling and coordination tasks within Revit/NavisWorks/AutoCAD/BIM360 preferred
- Experience manageing submittlas and RFIs preferred
