Job Responsibilities -
These positions will be responsible for working within different Business Lines within Ameren. Job duties will vary based on business line but could include the following
- Performs a variety of general labor and cleaning in and around a power generating station on power plant equipment in operating areas and shops
- To do such work in connection with operating, construction, repair, and maintenance of generating station property, including use of electrical and air powered tools; operating sump pumps; working at times on jobs involving scaffolding and platform work; the use of hoisting and rigging methods; and similar and less skilled work as assigned
- General construction activities associated with overhead, underground and substation construction
- Assist in the installation, replacement, and repair of electrical equipment and performs minor electrical repairs on de-energized equipment under a Grounded Work Permit or as long as rubber gloves are not required
- Candidate must be able to work with the public, and be readily available for shift work and overtime
- Welding, pipefitting, HVAC and/or excavating equipment operation experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
- Successfully complete the EEI power plant battery aptitude test.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Class A drivers license
- Must be punctual, have reliable attendance, and possess a positive attitude.
Location
- Location depended on the interest of the candidate and will include Ameren's IL and MO service territories.
