Building & Grounds Maintenance

Valley Distributing & Storage is seeking a Maintenance Associate with a good overall knowledge of industrial/commercial maintenance including carpentry, painting, light plumbing, small electrical. Facilities include multiple buildings on three campuses from Wilkes-Barre to Scranton.

Valley Distributing is a full-service Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider with over two million square feet of warehousing space. Responsibilities:

• Maintain the grounds and common area.
• Landscaping and snow removal.
• Carpentry, painting, housekeeping
• Repair and maintenance to industry fixtures including truck dock plates, dock doors, and warehouse racking.
• Repair and maintenance to facilities including roofs, lighting, roadways.
• Respond to emergency situations as required.
• After hours / on call rotation as required.
• Company provides vehicle and tools, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow instructions and operate power scrubbers and sweepers.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Able to lift and move 50 pounds safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
• Reliable transportation and good attendance record.

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Scranton and Wilkes-Barre (Laflin) Facilities

Hours: Day Shift (M-F) 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 Per Hour
