We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for our Square Cabinetry and AIS divisions located in DeSoto, TX.
The Business Analyst is responsible for implementing priority projects through utilization of cross functional teams to promote positive business outcomes for the manufacturing facility and related departments. This position’s primary focus is on increasing efficiencies and decreasing costs through effective communication and project management of information systems and business processes. In addition, this position will act as a liaison between IT and the business to enhance communication, ensure data integrity, and drive process improvements.
Job Responsibilities :
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing business function.
- Analyze and evaluate current business and system processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance.
- Collaborate, capture, and translate user requirements into user requests for system related projects.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes to developing optimization strategies.
- Lead project teams in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop detailed project plans to manage and track performance.
- Create, implement, and maintain system and process related standard operating procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of latest process and IT advancements to modernize systems.
- Conduct meetings to report ideas, findings, progress, and results.
- Participate in system upgrade testing and user acceptance of new system modules and enhancements.
- Assist management in prioritizing project initiatives through cost savings and optimization analyses.
- Train and coach employees to better use information systems and create subject matter experts to transition ownership of department specific data.
- Assist with user adoption and benchmarking activities to evaluate effectiveness of solutions being delivered and performance reviews.
- Provide expertise and input into solution testing scenarios and participate in User Acceptance Testing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology/Computer Science, or another related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a manufacturing environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Suite products, SQL knowledge also a plus.
- Ability to take ownership of work and drive tasks to completion.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and the ability to disseminate information to cross-functional team members and management.
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong management and organizational skills.
- Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-organized/self-starter able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
