We’re currently seeking a talented Business Development Coordinator (BDC). This is a key role at Over J and will help us work with business unit clients, subject matter experts, and designers to establish project goals, develop project plans, monitor progress towards plans, and evaluate results. The BDC will report directly to the CEO, and will work cross-functionally with all departments. The BDC will be in a full-time position and is expected to work on-site at our Downtown Los Angeles office. The position is open until filled, but we are hoping to have our new Business Development Coordinator in the saddle by the beginning of November.

A Day in the Life:
The Business Development Coordinator is a collaborative role and will have a variety of duties. We are seeking an exceptionally talented Business Development Coordinator (BDC) to be part of our team and help find new business opportunities for our company to expand.
To be successful as a BDC, you should have a firm knowledge of business principles, a deep social, economic, and cultural awareness, and an enthusiastic fondness for teamwork. Ideal candidates will display an ability to adapt quickly to customer concerns, identify the sources of any problems that arise, and decide on which actions to take to fix them.
If hired, the following would be responsibilities one can expect:
  • Investigate new business opportunities and potential clients
  • Focused on building and maintaining relationships with prospective clients
  • Scout and present RFP (Request for proposal) opportunities on sites such as Cal e-Procure, Metro, and Power Advocate
  • Able to explore new channels of acquiring business
  • Consistently and clearly identifies and verifies project prospects, objectives, goals, specific needs, concerns, and key considerations
  • Run and assist in executing marketing and lead generation campaigns
  • Continually optimize based on results while ensuring brand standards are applied and maintained across all properties
  • Developing and leveraging relationships with key influence and decision-makers
  • Attend industry events to network with potential clients
  • Maintain knowledge of current company capabilities to accurately relay that information to potential clients.
  • Work closely with team members across all areas of expertise to help create and execute pipeline growth plans

  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms
  • Ability to adapt quickly to customer wants, needs and concerns
  • Knowledge of basic business principles and needs

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
