Provides analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources in support of business decisions. Mines and analyzes complex and unstructured data sets using advanced statistical methods for use in data driven decision-making.

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools).
• Maintain and support the BI data analytics platforms.
• Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes).
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring as needed.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analysis.
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Required
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or Data Scientist
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative with moderalety complex issues and under general or no supervision
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field: Education may be substituted by years of experience on a 1-to-1 basis.
