The business operation manager will responsible for managing given products PLC, Demand forecasting, PSI management (Sell in and Sell out), promotion analysis, TP planning, and sales analytic by communicating to customer. In addition, this positon will communicate directly to customer (AT&T’s demand planners and supply planners) daily. The position focuses on sales planning, demand forecasting, marketing programs, data analysis, and the corresponding attainment of the assigned sales goals.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manages SCM PSI activities including selling sellout inventory WOS
- Communicates daily with customer on forecast alignments
- Communicates professional emails to customer, account team, SEA teams, and RPM teams and articulates complex updates in simplified way
- Communicates face to face with customer, account team, SEA teams, and RPM teams.
- Reports on product PSI status, understand and execute decisions based on two sets of numbers: Internal set of numbers and customer corresponding set of numbers
- Strong awareness of sales activities, promotions in market, promotional performance and costs.
- Works closely with sales team and hold sales counterparts accountable, courage to engage and drive improved performance; deep understanding of numbers and ability to interpret sales results, drive actions and results
- Desire to take personal ownership of business, accountable for PSI results in operating domain
- Conducts Product Sales Inventory (PSI) meetings to identify sales target status and product requirements to ensure fulfillment of product development and delivery to achieve sales plans.
- Develops and manages product inventory numbers to maximize selling / revenue while balancing weeks of sales (WOS)
- Carefully aligns Product Inventory and Sales Inventory between SEA and Global HQ
- Initiates, develops, coordinates, and implements strategic product launch plans while planning for risks and opportunities for Samsung’s operational model
- Communicates daily between headquarters and SEA organization on production allocation, delivery requirements, and inventory management.
- Provides Sales with daily updates of product delivery schedules from headquarters and against customer product delivery commitments
- Coordinates and handles the escalation of critical product availability, launch issues, and sales demands with Global HQ manufacturing leadership
Skills and Qualifications
- 6 + years’ of relevant experience in a telecommunications, CPG and/or retail industry supply chain, business, finance and sales operations management
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in building a function responsible for developing, compiling, and presenting product plans, delivery, and logistics schedules
- Strong analytical and excel skills a must
- High energy and ability to learn quickly
- Can work under varying work pressures, flexible
- Fluent in reading, writing, and verbal communications in English and Global HQ and in the translation of documents and information to and from each language
- Experience researching and resolving customer product development, launch, delivery, and logistics issues
- Experience developing presentations using a variety of Global HQ and English PC applications methods, including word-processing and spreadsheet software.
- Strong desire to work in highly collaborative environment, walks around the office and does not become chained to desk.

- Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
- Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
- Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
- The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
- The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
- The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
- Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
- Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
- Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
