Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to work in New Castle County Homecare. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-430pm with rotation on weekends and holidays.

CNAs are an integral part of Delaware Hospice's mission and interdisciplinary team.
The CNA serves as a member of the hospice team by providing personal care and light household services for patients. Maintains patient in comfortable and safe environment for home care.
QUALIFICATIONS: Two years experience in hospital, extended care facility, home care or Hospice preferred. Nursing students, completing one academic year inclusive of direct patient care, will be considered if certification requirements are fulfilled. Certification within the State of Delaware as a Nurse Aide or completion of a 75 hour training course and required competency testing. Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the dying patient. Demonstrated maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Dependable transportation to patient's home, valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record. Must complete 12 hours of mandatory education a year. Must be able to lift and turn patients as needed in the normal course of patient care, following industry standards and guidelines for safety and correct ergonomic practices. Employees involved in patient care may be exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly and are expected to follow all health care industry safety guidelines indicated in our procedures manual
