Job Summary

AEI in Glasgow, KY is looking for a Civil Tech I (CADD Tech) to join our team! This entry-level position performs a variety of developmental routine tasks which are intended to provide experience and interaction with other staff, methods, practices, programs and the culture of the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepares, or assists in the preparation of: engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in the use of reprographic and office equipment including, blueprint, photocopying and other office equipment.
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in firm’s drafting standards, CADD software.
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in the use of firm’s system of filing and retrieving drawings and other project information; assisting in the production of drawings, graphs, charts, exhibits and other project documents.
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in the types of resources available (reference materials, government agencies, utility companies, in-house records, etc.).
  • Developing knowledge and proficiency in the use of CADD equipment and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work in a variety of media, including, but not limited to, pencil, ink, Microstation, AutoCADD, and other CADD software or third party software packages, rub-on lettering and mylar leads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Courses and/or experience in drafting or a related field desired, but are not required.
