We are seeking a full-time Laborer/Carpenter to perform a variety of tasks under closesupervision of higher-level employees. These tasks may involve physical laborat construction sites, May operate hand and power tools of all types. May cleanand prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides ofexcavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other wastematerials. May assist other craft workers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired.
• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment, maintains a manufacturing area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
• Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
• Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job.
• Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned.
• Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
• Prepares and dismantles scaffolding as needed.
• Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
• May perform painting as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend in order to reach all areas of the facility.
• Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery.
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
