Base Compensation Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually

We are seeking a Cash Applications Analyst to process and record daily receipts of payments to customer accounts accurately and promptly and perform daily cash audits of electronic deposits, initiate credit card processing, credit card audits, and research/code for unidentified payments. The Cash Applications Analyst demonstrates and adheres to the company values of safety, honesty, ownership, respect, and teamwork to ensure a successful partnership with customers and employees that result in the company’s continued success.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes daily receipts, checks, ACH/wires, online & credit card payments, and lock boxes.
  • Ensures the prompt and accurate recording of payments to customer accounts.
  • Monitors unapplied and unallocated receipts, research, and addresses to the team.
  • Debits cash receipts on rejected checks or payments and informs AR Specialist to pursue.
  • Analyzes AR Reports to properly offset (match-off) credits/adjustments on customer accounts and accounts moving of funds.
  • Processes credit card payments.
  • Monitors daily e-mail boxes and addresses inquiries.
  • Investigates and resolves customer queries relating to cash application.
  • Collaborates effectively with Collections, Sales, and Billing Teams.
  • Maintains cash application metrics report.
  • Work End-Of-Month process the last and first week of every month.
  • Boxes all A/R lockbox files and sends them to storage each month.
  • Opens and distributes mail for the Collection department.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • This role has no direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years experience in accounts receivable applying cash preferred.
  • Understand financial measurements, discounted cash flow analysis, associated contract terms and conditions, and legal ramifications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Work independently and with a team to complete work.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Driven to meet deadlines: work under pressure, strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effectively converse with all levels of the company.
  • Professional integrity and accountability.

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field.

TRAVEL:

  • Minimal travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
