Job description

The Huntington Cat Shelter operated and funded by Little Shelter Animal Rescue, is looking to hire animal caretakers/adoption counselors for our cats. Responsibilities include feeding, medicating socializing of shelter cats. Caretaker responsibilities also require substantial cleaning and sanitizing of the cats living spaces. The majority of the cats are in a free-roaming environment and some are separated in medical areas in caged spaces during recovery. Cat shelter is open M-F 8am-6pm and Sat and Sun 9am-4pm, shifts vary. Weekend day is required. Adoption Counselors also show potential adopters through the shelter to help find the perfect pet. This is a very physical position. Candidate should be able to lift up to 50lbs. and be able to use the required sanitizing materials.
