Job Description: Estimator/Project Manager (Residential and/or Commercial): SERVICE AREA FOR THIS POSITION: HOUSTON, TX, TYLER, TX, DALLAS, TX, AUSTIN, TX, WACO, TX
Position Summary:
We are looking to hire a forward-thinking Estimator/Project Manager that is experienced in estimating and running residential disaster restoration projects of all sizes. Serving as the primary contact between the company and the client, the estimator will work with the property owner and provide technical information to insurance companies and/or adjusters by inspecting, estimating structural damages and content related damages by identifying costs associated with remediation and restoration of damaged residential and commercial properties.
Duties &Responsibilities:
· Work with the customer and insurance companies to ensure that all property damages are estimated correctly and reflected in the scope of work
· Set budgets for labor and materials to company standards
· Work directly with the customers, communicate technical information and progress of the job to adjustors and 3rd party administrators in a professional and timely manner regarding the scope of work and change orders necessary to complete the job
· Direct Project Managers throughout the process and communicate accordingly
· Attend weekly production meetings to discuss project status and collections
· Stay current with insurance and program guidelines, industry advancements, training
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of Xactimate – 2 years minimum
- Estimating residential and/or commercial construction – 2 years minimum
- Proficiency in common construction formulas and calculations
· Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, PSA experience a plus
· Must have a good work attitude, customer service and organizational skills
· Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
· Excellent communication and leadership skills
· Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and endure seasonal temperatures
