If yes, we are looking for a Data and Knowledge Engineer to join our team in designing data products to meet business needs.

Our Data and Knowledge Engineer will design data products from vision to launch, will lead customer interactions, user research and define the curated data assets required to provide business analysts high quality descriptive, prescriptive and predictive data solutions. This team is building data ontologies to drive the adoption of common vocabularies and structured data across the firm as we move our data to AWS.

In this exciting role we expect you to work in applying structured data methods and technologies, generate ontologies and vocabularies that describe our data. The meta-data and data should be discoverable via human and machine search using APIs to support data-driven decision tools and processes such as MIS, advanced analytics, including graph databases.

About the Team

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. We're proud to lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most-used digital solutions - all while ranking first in customer satisfaction.

The CCB Data & Analytics team responsibly leverages data across Chase to build competitive advantages for the businesses while providing value and protection for customers. The team encompasses a variety of disciplines from data governance and strategy to reporting, data science and machine learning. We have a strong partnership with Technology, which provides cutting edge data and analytics infrastructure. The team powers Chase with insights to create the best customer and business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience in building financial data management solutions for a bank, payment processor, lender, fintech, bureau, aggregator.
  • Or 5+ years of hands-on analytics/data science expertise covering data sourcing, data analysis, data manipulation, data reporting (BI tools) in financial services for a bank, payment processor, lender, fintech, bureau, aggregator.
  • Experience in one of these domains a plus: Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Wealth Management, Card Services, Auto, Home Lending.
  • Experience in one of these a plus: Customer Profitability, Customer Journey Analytics, Customer Marketing
  • Experience across broad range of modern tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Scala, Python, SPARQL, R)
  • Experience with common data vocabularies and linked data concepts a plus (RDF, DCAT, Schema.org, JSON-LD, OWL, W3C)
  • AWS experience a plus

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Science, Library Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Physics)
