What you’ll do…
You will drive and/or operates diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on job-site (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Digger Derrick, Pole/Bucket Truck)- You will work on Property or work site restoration
- You will perform general construction work (to include physical labor i.e. using hand tools, lifting materials on average up to 50 lbs, etc.) under direction of Foreman or Supervisor
- You must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies
- You must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
Who we are looking for…
You have1-3 years minimum experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities including the demonstrated ability to successfully identify existing cable, Cable/Pole placement, and excavation preferred.- You havePrior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities preferred.
- You have working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic and copper cable outside plant facilities
- You have working knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements
- You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather
- You are able to lift, climb, and carry weight up to 80lbs
- You are a self starter
- You have effective communication skills
- You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
- You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
- You have a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
