Cell Tower Supervisor

Description:
Ripple Effect Consulting is seeking experienced, motivated, and professional individuals to serve as a Tower Crew Supervisor. This position will act as a liaison between the Tower Service crews and Tower Service Manager, will lead a crew of 4-8 personnel, and participate in ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, company profit, and personal job mastery. All work shall be conducted in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
What you will do:
- Demonstrate a good work ethic to manage a crew of 4-8 tower climbers and resolve team issues with a positive attitude and attention to team moral
- Ensure that the team performs assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines
- Accountable for all activities of the crew, equipment, and company resources
- Evaluate and coordinate customer/landlord requirements, project design and scheduling timelines for completion
- Conduct site walks and coordinate subcontractors as necessary.
- Collaborate with Management to prepare bill of materials (order shelters, equipment, and project materials.)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment: (i.e antenna systems, fiber optics, DC power, RF transmission path and microwave communication equipment) and document all maintenance and repair activity
- Maintain antenna system maintenance by troubleshooting faults through VSWR and return loss checks, PIM testing and hands on inspections and repair
- Collect and review close out documents (i.e site photographs, sweep tests, etc.)
- Maintain vehicles and other company assets by following periodic maintenance schedule, visual inspections, and adhering to relevant policies/procedures
- Maintain and track all assigned company assets including trucks, trailers, test equipment, tools, PPE, safety kits, and materials. Assist management in ordering materials and equipment, including truck stocking to pre-determined levels
What you will bring:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass to a preliminary and random drug screen and subject to a criminal background check
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience in projects and/or related wireless infrastructure development and construction management.
- An understanding and ability to interpret construction drawings and scopes of work.
- Knowledge of operating principles of RF transmitters and receivers, AC and DC power and grounding system design, testing, and maintenance with an ability to troubleshoot and replace components utilizing OEM vendor-approved methods.
- Knowledge of proper rigging techniques and rated capacities of gears that are utilized.
- Experience with various test equipment, (i.e antenna sweep test gear, multi meter, spectrum analyzer, PIM tester, fiber loss test gear) with the ability to interpret test results and use those results to identify faulty components.
- Certified in, or the ability to obtain certification, in the following areas: Tower climber and rescue, CPR/First aid, RF awareness and safety, OSHA 30, PIM and winter survival.
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge Windows OS/ Microsoft office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and be cable of working up to 12 hours on occasion, including sitting for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Frequent performance of duties outdoors with occasional expose to severe or inclement weather conditions
- Flexible schedule with traveling 2-10 days at a time, ability to be on-call, and work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays, and some evening hours
Preferred:
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practical use of these guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and policies
Certifications:
- Aviat, Nokia, Dragon Wave, Ceragon, and microwave
- Nokia RAN
- Anritsu Sweeps, Fiber Testing and PIM
- Management/leadership related training

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
