Overview

To supervise and ensure that the Lingle Corporations policies and procedures are maintained and provide customers with superb customer service. Responsible to execute merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the center store department.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service
• Achieve budgeted sales, and profits for the grocery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies to maximize sales and minimize excessive inventory.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs as directed by the Lingle Corporation
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure grocery department associates achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Control grocery shrink through proper implementation of the stock loss program.
• Ensure proper pricing and item scanning through price audits and proper scanning procedures.
• Ensure backroom is properly maintained to 5S standards
• Ensure advertised items are available, signed and are scanning correctly.
• Help prepare grocery department for grocery inventory.
• Works with store management team to maintain product level and conditions associated with vendor product.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Demonstrate the ability to overcome obstacles, tackle tough challenge and out in the extra effort to achieve results.
• A minimum of 1 year retail management of related industry experience.
• Ability to work in a multitask environment. Must be able to motivate, develop, and hold associates accountable, while creating a positive work environment for all associates.
• Adheres to all Lingle Company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift, and transport various objects weighing 20-50lbs. repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, and / or move about for extended periods of time.
• Requires the ability to push, pull, grasp, and twist for extended periods of time.
• Regularly works in freezers, refrigerators, in and outside of the store in all weather conditions.
