This Chemist I will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Chemist, assisting and performing sample preparation and analysis of client's samples. They will focus on the correct testing of specimens to comply with internal procedures, industry standards, and written instructions.

Job Functions

• Under supervisor, perform analyses of client samples
• Perform routine operations, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment/instruments
• Prepare samples for analysis
• Day-to-day operational activities of chemistry lab housekeeping, maintaining of notebooks, etc.,
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Required)
• No experience necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Language Skills: English Advanced level of knowledge
• Mathematical Skills: Advanced level of knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively in one-to-one situations with customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
